What is a custom link?

Custom Links allow you to create links that will deliver the reader to a specific URL that you set. It will not do any geolocation processing or automatically place affiliate codes at the end of the URL.

NOTE: If you are creating a link for a book to go to Amazon or another service supported by ReaderLinks, please do not use the Custom LInks option for this. You really want to use the service links instead!

So you only want to use these for pages that you do not require geolocation on. For example, maybe you want to send people to your Facebook page. Since Facebook uses the same site no matter what country you’re in, you don’t need geolocation for it.

If you click on the Add New Custom Link button, you will see a window pop up that asks you for a name and the URL you want to use.

Simply fill in the information and save/update the URL and ReaderLinks will create a link you can use for tracking clicks.
